Alleged Samsung Tri-Fold Smartphone – 3C Certification
The alleged Samsung tri-fold smartphone carries the model number of ‘SM-F9680’ (‘0’ – Chinese variant) and it has received the 3C certification with the certificate number of ‘2025011606783482’. The upcoming device has been listed as a ‘5G digital mobile telephone set’ on the 3C database, and its certification will be valid only till the 3rd of June 2030. While the device will be sold without a charging adapter, a charger with the model number – ‘EP-TA800’ has also been listed along with the smartphone and it is revealed to support up to 25W wired fast charging. Additionally, the 3C listing also confirms the device’s launch in the Chinese market as well.
Looking at previous updates, Samsung is now said to introduce its tri-fold under the Galaxy Z Fold 7 series which reportedly will consist of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 model too (no Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra for Summer 2025). To note, even though the Galaxy Z Fold 7 device is expected to launch next month in July 2025 (along with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and maybe Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE), the brand’s tri-fold device is suggested to only launch later this year. However, a recent update also pointed out that Samsung hasn’t begun the mass production of its tri-fold and likely its launch could be delayed. Furthermore, the batteries for the Samsung tri-fold were allegedly spotted on India’s BIS database, and the upcoming device is expected to feature key specs such as a dual-hinged inward-folding design, 9.96″ inner main display, 6.54″ height, and 298 gm weight.
Stay tuned for more updates.
