After the popularity of foldable devices, the tri-fold smartphone is the new gadget that seems to grab the attention of tech enthusiasts. Huawei was the first to unveil the world’s first tri-fold smartphone- Mate XT Ultimate Design. Reports also suggested that Honor may also soon unveil its tri-fold device in the industry.
Meanwhile Samsung also for the first time teased its tri-fold phone at the Galaxy Unpacked event 2025. A recent report by a South Korean publication, ETNEWS revealed that Samsung may launch its tri-fold device alongside Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 foldable smartphones that are expected to debut in Q3, 2025. But tipster @MaxJmb shared via X platform that Samsung’s tri-fold won’t launch alongside Fold 7 and Flip 7 devices but at a later point in time.

Though no official detail has been revealed related to the upcoming Samsung tri-fold smartphone as per Yeux1122’s blog, the upcoming tri-fold could be called Galaxy G Fold. It is said to sport a 9.96-inch display and 6.54-inch height. It is tipped to weigh the same as the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design (298g). Samsung tri-fold may arrive with an inward folding design.
As we approach the launch timeline we may come across some more updates related to the Samsung tri-fold smartphone.
