Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 with model numbers “SM-F766B” and “SM-F766U” spotted on FCC certification

Samsung has already released the first official teaser for its upcoming foldable smartphones, and all signs point to the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7. In addition to these, a more affordable Z Fold FE variant is also in the works, though it remains unclear whether it will debut alongside the other two models. As the launch hype builds, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 has now been spotted on the FCC certification website by our team at The Tech Outlook with model numbers “SM-F766B” and “SM-F766U.” Here, the “B” suffix represents the Indian or global variant, while the “U” indicates the US-specific model.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FCC Certification
As per the certification, it shows support for a wide range of network bands, including GSM (850/900/1800/1900), UMTS (Bands 1, 2, 4, 5), and LTE across both FDD and TDD bands such as Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 17, 20, 25, 26, 28, 30, 38, 39, 40, 41, and 66. For 5G connectivity, it includes Sub-6GHz bands like n1, n2, n3, n5, n7, n8, n12, n20, n25, n26, n28, n30, n38, n40, n41, n48, n66, n70, n71, n77, and n78. Additionally, the US variant (SM-F766U) appears to support mmWave bands such as n260, n261, and n265, with the mmWave antenna positioned on the left side of the device when viewed from the front.
It also supports Wi-Fi across 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands, confirming Wi-Fi 6E compatibility. Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC are also supported, along with wireless charging via the WPC standard. Battery details reveal the use of a main EB-BF766ABY cell and a sub EB-BF767ABY unit for the model number “SM-F766B”, both manufactured by ATL.
If you recall, these same batteries were previously spotted by us in both BIS and UL Demko certifications. According to those listings, the EB-BF766ABY had a capacity of 1189mAh, while the EB-BF767ABY offered 2985mAh, totalling 4174mAh, likely to be marketed as 4300mAh.
The FCC certification shows it was tested with a 25W charging adapter (EP-T2510), a USB Type-C data cable (EP-DN980), and USB-C earphones (EO-IC100), indicating expected support for 25W fast charging, consistent with the 3C certification. The Wi-Fi antennas are positioned at the rear, with one marked as WiFi1 and the other as WiFi2, allowing dual-band operation across all supported frequencies.
Also, the Geekbench listings for both the Korean variant (SM-F766N) and the US variant (SM-F766U) show that the device is powered by the Exynos 2500 SoC. Based on rumours, we can expect the Galaxy Z Flip 7 to feature the Exynos 2500 SoC across all regions. About its other expected/revealed key specs, it is tipped to feature a 6.85″ main display (inner, foldable), 4″ cover display (outer), 50MP (OIS) + 12MP (ultra-wide) dual rear camera unit, and a 10MP front-facing camera.
