Samsung Tri-Fold Battery Model Numbers (Alleged) – Spotted on BIS
On the BIS certification database, Samsung’s tri-fold batteries (alleged) with the model numbers of ‘EB-BF965ABE’, ‘EB-BF968ABE’, and ‘EB-BF969ABE’ have been listed, and these have received the grant/inclusion onto the BIS database as of on the 2nd of May 2025. While earlier updates suggested that Samsung would possibly plan on releasing its tri-fold smartphone only or initially in its home market (South Korea), the BIS listing of its batteries indicates of its soon launch in India as well.
Speaking more, Samsung teased its tri-fold device at the previous Galaxy Unpacked event held early this year, and notably its tri-fold is said to feature a dual-hinged inward-folding design. The device was also claimed to be called as the ‘Samsung Galaxy G Fold’, and a 9.96″ inner display, 6.54″ height, and 298gm weight (same as Huawei’s Mate XT tri-fold) are expected to be a few of its specs.
As per the newer updates (received via Sam Mobile), the Galaxy tri-fold is pointed out to have the codename – ‘Q7M’ (for Galaxy Z Fold 7 it is ‘Q7’), and it could be launched under the Galaxy Z Fold 7 series itself with the model number – ‘SM-F968’ (South Korean variant – ‘SM-F968N’). About its launch, just like what earlier updates revealed, the Galaxy tri-fold won’t be unveiled along with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 devices in Q3 2025 (~ July 2025), but later this year in 2025 (earlier updates mentioned it to arrive in Q4 2025 or maybe in 2026).
Stay tuned for more updates.
