Vivo X Fold 5 teased to support -20 degree Celsius durable body and features industry’s first second-generation armor glass

The Chinese manufacturer Vivo is all set to introduce its all-new Vivo X Fold 5 smartphone in its home country on 25th June. Along with this foldable device, the company will also launch Vivo TWS 3 Air Pro earbuds in the market.

The brand has already started teasing the key details of the Vivo X Fold 5 smartphone. Today, Vivo has revealed how the device will arrive with triple-proof protection and about the new physical button present on the left side of the smartphone.

The smartphone will support IPX8 and IPX9 waterproof levels and also achieve IPX9+ waterproof capability. It also supports an IP5X dustproof level, while it is also teased to be freezeproof as it supports a -20 degree Celsius durable body.

The device features the industry’s first second-generation armor glass and is also drop-resistant. Vivo has also shared a new teaser video, in which it is suggested that the new physical button on the left side of the smartphone can be used to access features like volume controls, camera, torch, and more.

About its revealed/expected specifications, via its recent Geekbench listing (of the Chinese variant), performance specs such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, Android 15 operating system, and 16GB RAM option were revealed. Other teased/revealed key specs include the 8T LTPO display panels (for main and cover displays), periscope telephoto lens (- 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens), 6000 mAh battery backup, 90W wired + wireless charging features, 5G/WiFi/Bluetooth/NFC connectivity support, Apple ecosystem compatibility, White/Green/Black color options, 8.7 mm folded thickness, and 209 gm weight.
