A few days back, the first official teaser of Vivo X Fold 5 was shared online. It is said that the latest device will be taking the place as the lightest and thinnest big foldable on the market. It is reported to be only 209 gm.
The brand has officially confirmed that Vivo X Fold 5 will surpass its predecessor, Vivo X Fold 3, and become the world’s lightest folding phone. Today, Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao shared an image on the Weibo platform comparing the Vivo X Fold 5 with the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

If we take a look at the above image, the Vivo X Fold 5 looks slightly thicker when folded in comparison to the iPhone 16 Pro Max (8.25mm thick). It is tipped that when folded, Vivo X Fold 5 measures 8.7mm.
Vivo X Fold 5 has made its appearance on SIRIM and IMDA certification platforms while it was also reportedly spotted on the 3C certification website. Based on the listings and reports, the upcoming foldable device is expected to arrive with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, 5G/WiFi/Bluetooth/NFC connectivity, a possible 90W wired fast charging, 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens, 6000 mAh battery, and the wireless charging capability.
