The much-awaited WWDC Apple event has already started, with new technologies and innovations being introduced at the event. As the event commenced, Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao announced that Vivo X Fold 5 is the new Apple partner and will be arriving with some fun and new features.
Vivo X Fold 5: New Apple pairing features & Display features teased
Vivo X Fold 5 has become the first Android phone that can connect to an Apple Watch. Once connected, your Apple Watch can display incoming calls and text messages from the Vivo X Fold 5. The health data recorded on the watch can also be synchronized to the Vivo Health App.
The upcoming device will also support dual-machine interconnection. The text messages and verification codes received by the iPhone can be synchronized on X Fold 5 and you can see them. iPhone calls can be answered directly with X Fold while the app notifications are also not missed. It is also revealed that this flow of information between the two devices can be done with one SIM card only.
Vivo X Fold 5 will also support iCloud cloud direct connection. Users can log in to their Apple account once in the file management that comes with X Fold 5 and can directly access iCloud photos and files. You can watch and download them whenever you want. Apple memos can also be viewed and edited on X Fold 5 and can be synchronized in real-time. While family shared albums can also be watched and shared.
There is a fourth new feature of Apple’s pairing- the Mac extension screen, about which the details will be shared in another Weibo post.
Han Boxiao has also teased the display features of the Vivo X Fold 5 smartphone.
Both the inside and outside are LTPO 8T displays that are said to achieve smooth adaptive high refresh rate, ultra-high resolution and ultra-high PPI. The device is said to offer 4500 nits local peak brightness with full brightness high-frequency PWM dimming and TUV Rheinland global eye protection 3.0 certification. With the help of Zeiss Master Color Blessing, the dual screens are accurate in color.
