Google releases new Canvas updates for Gemini app users

At the beginning of this month, Google unveiled its latest Gemini 2.5 Pro (I/O edition) using which you can build interactive web apps in Canvas with fewer prompts. Well, the company has now released new Canvas updates for Gemini users.

Other than creating interactive web apps in Canvas, users can now build on top of others’ creations by clicking on the Copy Canvas option in shared Canvas links, and implement their add-ons. The company has also shared an example where a user @tulseedoshi created an app in Gemini Canvas using Maps API to explore the world.

And a few other users put their add-ons on this Cartographer app, like voice activation, hand gestures, and more, using the Copy Canvas feature.

Apart from this, users can now prompt on Gemini Canvas to make apps that use their device’s camera and microphone, which makes the creation more fun and interactive.

These new updates will help the Gemini app users in building interactive web apps with the help of teamwork enhancing their productivity.
