Instagram Edits for Mac – Features and Availability
The Edits desktop app, which is available as a free download, supports Macs equipped with Apple silicon, starting with the M1 chip or later. While a mobile version is already available, Instagram says the desktop experience offers more editing tools and a larger workspace.
As per the details shared, users can work with a multi-track timeline along with keyframe support that will allow them to create dynamic transitions. Moreover, the audio waveforms are also available to help align cuts with beats, whereas colour wheels and curves can be used for colour grading. Just to add, importing custom LUTs is supported as well.
Not only this, but Instagram’s licensed and royalty-free audio libraries access has also been included, along with support for importing custom font files. Furthermore, users will also be able to generate automatic captions without any limits.
Notably, videos can be exported at up to 4K resolution without a watermark, which users can then publish directly to Instagram without having to download the finished video and upload it again.
About its availability, the desktop version is currently limited to compatible macOS devices and can be downloaded for free.
Stay tuned for more updates!
