Google Unveils its Latest Gemini 2.5 Pro (I/O Edition) Model Ahead of its Annual Developer Conference
Google’s next I/O event is nearing and ahead of it, the brand has unveiled an updated Gemini 2.5 Pro (I/O Edition) model. It is claimed to be the most intelligent AI model of the brand, and is said to be better with coding too.

Gemini 2.5 Pro (I/O Edition) Unveiled
The newly-unveiled and latest Gemini 2.5 Pro (I/O Edition) is an updated version of the brand’s Gemini 2.5 Pro model, and the preview of Gemini 2.5 Pro (I/O Edition) is available now on Gemini API, Vertex AI and AI platforms, and on the Gemini chatbot app (for mobile and web). As per what has been revealed, the Gemini 2.5 Pro (I/O Edition) offers better capabilities with both coding and developing web-based apps. It is also able to perform well with tasks such as code editing and code transformation.
Speaking more, the Gemini 2.5 Pro (I/O Edition) has topped the WebDev Arena leader board (for functional web app development) and has attained 84.8% score on VideoMME (for video understanding performance).
This announcement comes ahead of this year’s I/O annual developer conference event that is scheduled to begin from the 20th of May 2025 to the 21st of May 2025. The two-day event is going to take the tech world through Google’s recent developments made across AI (Gemini), web (Chrome), cloud, and its Android (Android 16 OS) services. Updates concerning Android XR and Material 3 Expressive design can also be expected at the upcoming event.
