Upcoming Redmi 17 5G Spotted on SIRIM and TKDN Certifications; Redmi Note 17 Series Global Variants Also Found Listed on TKDN

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is currently gearing up to launch its next Note series smartphones in its home market in China, and as per confirmed reports, the upcoming lineup will be breaking cover in July itself. However, a new detail spotted on regulatory authorities has now revealed that the brand is also working on its number series for the global market, as we have now spotted the Redmi 17 5G on two global certification databases.

Not only this, the global variants of the Redmi Note 17 series have also been spotted on the TKDN certification platform.

Here is what these certifications have revealed.

Talking about the Redmi 17 5G, this model has appeared on the Malaysian SIRIM certification database with the model number – ‘26062RN92G’, and the listing reveals that it was approved on 3rd July 2026 with the approval type code – ‘RGQL/111/0726/S(26-3443)’. Secondly, this same model number, but without the moniker, has also been listed on the Indonesian TKDN certification database as well, and it is shown as a 5G smartphone. However, none of these certifications confirm any specs as such for this upcoming device.

Other than this, several other model numbers have also appeared on the TKDN certification database as 5G handsets, and these are ‘2609FRA74G’, ‘26081RA18G’, and ‘2607DRA18G’ under the Redmi branding, while ‘2607DPC18G’ is listed under the POCO branding. Among the Redmi-branded model numbers, the last two are expected to belong to the Redmi Note 17 5G and Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G global variants, while the first one is also expected to be a part of the global Note 17 series and could possibly be the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.

Previously, the Redmi Note 17 5G’s model number had also appeared on the EEC certification platform as well, thus hinting at its launch in the European market too. While the China launch of the Redmi Note 17 series has been teased for this month, if it follows the same launch path as that of the Redmi Note 15 series, then the global launch can be expected in phases starting December this year.

Coming to the POCO variant, its model number looks similar to the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G’s model number and was also spotted earlier on the EEC certification database, but under which branding it will arrive is still a mystery.

In related news, the Redmi 17 4G had also appeared earlier on the TKDN certification databases, while the Redmi Note 17 4G variant was spotted on the EEC, FCC, and IMDA databases.
