Redmi Note 17 Series confirmed to launch this month in China; Over 500 million units of Note Series sold globally in 12 years

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi recently introduced its latest Redmi K90 Ultra smartphone in the Chinese market, and now the company is gearing up for another launch in the country.

The company has today officially announced the launch of its Redmi Note 17 series. The Redmi Note 17 series will launch this month in the Chinese market.

While announcing the launch, Redmi also revealed that in 12 years, over 500 million units of the Redmi Note lineup have been sold globally. According to Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing, the Note 17 series will set a new benchmark for mid-range phones in 26 years. It is suggested that the upcoming series will retain premium hardware configurations despite the uncontrollable costs sweeping through the entire market.

Previously, various Redmi Note 17 series devices have made their appearance on various global certification websites. The Redmi Note 17 4G model has been spotted on GSMA, IMDA, TKDN and FCC databases. The alleged Redmi Note 17 Pro Chinese variant was spotted on the 3C certification, revealing 67W wired fast charging support. Meanwhile, an alleged Redmi Note 17 series device also made its appearance on the EEC database.

Since the company has already teased the launch of this series, it is expected to soon reveal more details on the upcoming devices.
