Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra Spotted on Geekbench, Running on Android 16 Based One UI 8

Unlike the One UI 7 development, Samsung with its next One UI 8 custom skin is focused on releasing and rolling it out at a much faster phase and already we have come across multiple updates which suggest that the development is progressing at an exponential speed. Now, the 2022-released Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone has been spotted on the Geekbench database with the Android 16 based One UI 8 custom skin running on it.

Read more about the update below.

Galaxy S22 Ultra Running on Android 16 Based One UI 8 – Geekbench Listing

The Geekbench listing of the Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone running on the Android 16 based One UI 8 custom skin reveals that the device has attained 1581 points and 3680 points respectively in the single-core and multi-core tests, and its One UI 8 build version is ‘S908USQU8GYCB’. It seems that compared to earlier benchmarks, the single-core and multi-core scores appear to be a little less, however with future optimizations it would probably be increased.

Looking at other recent updates, via the recently-conducted ‘The Android Show’ it was confirmed that Samsung’s Galaxy phones would be receiving the One UI 8 custom skin this summer itself, while the One UI 8 beta program could be starting this month for selected flagships such as the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 devices. Also to add, the beta program of One UI 8 will be comparatively shorter than that of the One UI 7 custom skin.

Speaking more, apart from the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the latest Galaxy S25 and upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 were also spotted on the Geekbench database with the Android 16 based One UI 8 onboard. The first One UI 8 beta build for the Galaxy S25 series was also spotted on the test server. A new animation engine and an added animated clock style was also revealed as the features for the next One UI 8 custom skin.

Stay tuned for more updates.
