Samsung Galaxy S25 Series First One UI 8 Beta Build Spotted on Test Server: One UI 8 Development Progressing Faster?

The South Korean tech maker – Samsung is currently rolling out its Android 15-based One UI 7 official update to its Galaxy devices and the roll-out is set to expand and continue over the next three months. We have also already come across multiple updates concerning the next Android 16-based One UI 8 and now, the first One UI 8 beta build for this year’s latest Galaxy S25 series has been spotted on the test server.

First One UI 8 Beta Build for Galaxy S25 Series Spotted on Test Server

The first internal test build of the One UI 8 custom skin for the Galaxy S25 series was spotted two months back in March 2025, and back then it was said that Samsung’s One UI 8 release would probably be taking place as the One UI 7 update roll-out drags on. The same tipster (@UniverseIce) who had shared this also revealed that the One UI 7.1 update could be skipped and Samsung may plan on rolling out the One UI 8 update as the next One UI version update.

Now, the first One UI 8 beta build for the Galaxy S25 series has been spotted on the test server as mentioned (via @tarunvats33), and the same tipster (@UniverseIce) re-posting the update has claimed that it has appeared faster than expected. This means, Samsung unlike its One UI 7 development has decided to move quick with its One UI 8 development, and the progress is suggested to be taking place at an even faster pace.

Speaking more, the build version of this spotted One UI 8 beta build is ‘S938BXXU3ZYEA / S938BOXM3ZYEA / S938BXXU3BYEA’.

In related news, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy S25 smartphones were spotted on the Geekbench database running on the One UI 8 custom skin, while other reports revealed features such as the new animation engine and newly added animated clock style.
