Samsung’s One UI 8 Revealed to Feature a New Animation Engine, Further Improving the User Experience

We have already come across multiple updates concerning Samsung’s next Android 16 based One UI 8 custom skin and based on all these updates received so far, the brand’s One UI 8 development is progressing quickly. Now, it has been revealed that the upcoming One UI 8 custom skin would be featuring a new animation engine to further improve the overall user experience.

One UI 8 – New Animation Engine Revealed

As per a new update (received via @tarunvats33), Samsung’s next One UI 8 custom skin will be further improving the overall user experience thanks to the new animation engine that the brand is revealed to equip within it. With the help of this new animation engine, users won’t be interrupted when spamming more than two apps at a time, suggesting the Samsung’s upcoming One UI 8 will be even smoother and seamless multitasking and app switching capabilities can thus be enjoyed by users.

Speaking more, the first One UI 8 internal test build based on the Android 16 operating system and for the Galaxy S25 series was spotted back in March 2025. Following this, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 smartphone running on the Android 16 based One UI 8 custom skin appeared on the Geekbench database as well. Quite recently, the Galaxy S25 smartphone was again spotted on the Geekbench database with the One UI 8 custom skin onboard, achieving higher Geekbench scores in the single-core and multi-core tests than its earlier Geekbench listing.

About the One UI 8 release, it is being said that Samsung is planning on skipping the One UI 7.1 update and directly roll out the One UI 8 update for its users next, and the release may possibly be taking place soon as the One UI 7 roll-out drags on.
