OPPO had previously confirmed that the Realme and OnePlus Android 17 upgrade-eligible devices would receive ColorOS 17 custom UI instead of Realme UI and OxygenOS. Following the stable rollout schedule announcement, the brand has now opened ColorOS 17 Early Access applications for the Realme GT7 Pro, Realme 16 Pro 5G, Realme GT8 Pro, and Realme GT8 Pro Dream Edition.

ColorOS 17 – Early Access Applications Open for Realme Devices
As per the announcement pages, users of the above-mentioned smartphones can now apply for the Android 17-based ColorOS 17 Early Access programme, but the page also states that the seats are limited and applications will be accepted in phases.
Notably, these announcements concern Early Access builds, rather than the stable update rollout. Users will need to ensure that their smartphones are running one of the required existing software versions before applying.
The required versions and respective Early Access builds are listed below.
| Device | Required Existing Software Version | Early Access Version |
|---|---|---|
| Realme GT7 Pro | RMX5011_16.0.10.511(EX01) RMX5011_16.0.10.500(EX01) | RMX5011_17.0.0.110(EX01) |
| Realme 16 Pro 5G | RMX5120_16.0.5.1102(EX01) RMX5120_16.0.5.1106(EX01) | RMX5120_17.0.0.100(EX01) |
| Realme GT8 Pro / GT8 Pro Dream Edition | RMX5210_16.0.9.404(EX01) | RMX5210_17.0.0.105(EX01) |
About the application process, eligible users can head to Settings → About phone → Software update → Software update settings → Trial version → Early Access → Apply Now → Submit → Done.
Speaking more, submitting an application does not mean that the update will be available immediately, as the programme has limited seats and applications are being accepted in phases.
Stay tuned for more updates!
