New One UI 7 Build for Galaxy S23 Series Updated on Test Server

The South Korean smartphone maker – Samsung has already rolled-out its One UI 7 official stable version update for its Galaxy S23 series smartphones. Now, a new One UI 7 build has been updated on the test server for the Galaxy S23 series.

As mentioned, Samsung has now uploaded a new One UI 7 test build for its Galaxy S23 series on the server, changing the build version from ‘S8DYDB’ to ‘U8DYE1’. The new firmware build version is ‘S918BXXU8DYE1 / S918BOXM8DYE1 / S918BXXU8DYE1’. Also to add, the same tipster suggests that this could be arriving as the June 2025 security patch update.
Speaking more, Samsung’s One UI 7 roll-out will be continuing till the month of July 2025, and many of its devices have received the stable official version update. While the One UI 7 roll-out is still happening, Samsung is also focused in the One UI 8 development and the latest news suggest that it is taking place in a much faster pace compared to the One UI 7 development.
Samsung Galaxy phones are said to receive the One UI 8 update this Summer itself as per what was confirmed at the recently-held ‘The Android Show’. Reports also state that the One UI 8 beta program may begin this month (in May 2025) as well, and it is likely to be a shorter one and only a few selected Galaxy devices may be made eligible. Also to add, the first One UI 8 beta build for the Galaxy S25 series has been spotted, while the Galaxy S25, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy S22 Ultra were spotted on Geekbench with the Android 16-based One UI 8 running on them. Moreover, a new animation engine and an added animated clock style are two revealed One UI 8 features.
