Verify the news, multi-device support; WhatsApp to introduce many such new features

Amid the rapidly spreading coronavirus around the globe, WhatsApp announces various new features for its users.

In the light of coronavirus, many fake news pieces have been shared and misled people across the world, the Facebook –led-app has decided to introduce a feature that would let users verify the messages they forward. As per WABetainfo, the app is working to “introduce some options to launch the feature for Frequently Forwarded Messages”. Once the feature is executed, users will see a search icon right next to the messages that are forwarded. If you click on the search icon, WhatsApp will ask if you want to search the message on Google to check the authenticity of the message or not.

Apart from that, WhatsApp has also been reported of working on a multi-device support which will allow users to use WhatsApp on two different devices simultaneously. Called multi-device support, the Facebook-backed messaging app.

From now on, the app will enable the self-destructing or disappearing messages.

With the Delete Messages feature on WhatsApp, the users will be able to set a time limit to their chats. This will be available for both groups and individual chats.
