Apple announced a price hike for several of its already available devices soon after introducing its latest iPhone 18 Pro series smartphones. This was expected as Apple’s then CEO Tim Cook had hinted in an interview that rising memory costs were affecting Apple and could lead to higher prices.
A new report now suggests that Apple might have another price hike as the company is reportedly facing a further increase in memory costs.

Apple’s Possible Second Price Hike
As per several media reports, Apple has accepted Samsung Electronics’ memory chip prices for Q1 2027, and the agreement covers both DRAM and NAND flash memory.
DRAM is reportedly priced at $2/Gb and NAND flash memory at around $0.33/Gb, which is an increase of around 30%–40% compared with Q3 2026. However, no major increase in memory prices is expected during Q4 2026.
Smartphone manufacturers are reportedly reviewing their production plans for 2027 due to the memory supply situation, and Apple is said to be the first smartphone manufacturer to finalise its decision.
Based on this, it is being reported that Apple may consider another price hike in Q1 2027, though there is no official info yet from the brand yet about this. Apple is also reportedly working on the upcoming iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 smartphones, which might also be affected if the company decides to increase its prices.
