Samsung Galaxy S22+ spotted running Android 16 with One UI 8 on Geekbench

Samsung has already released the One UI 8 beta 2 update for Galaxy S25 series smartphones and beta 3 update is expected to arrive soon. The brand will release the One UI 8 stable version with its next foldable devices Galaxy Z Fold 7/ Flip 7 which is expected to make its debut in July 2025.

Ahead of this, Galaxy S22+ has been spotted running Android 16 with One UI 8 on the Geekbench database (via @tarunvats33).

The Geekbench listing of the Galaxy S22+ (SM-S906U) smartphone running on Android 16 based One UI 8 custom skin reveals that the device has received a 1466 single-core score and 3000 multi-core score.

Previously Galaxy S22 Ultra was also spotted on the Geekbench database with Android 16-based One UI 8 custom skin. For the Galaxy S22 series, Android 16 will be the last OS upgrade as per its upgrade policy.

Previous updates about One UI 8 revealed that the Android Predictive Back feature has been brought to the devices with the One UI 8 beta 2 update, but it is dubbed as Back Swipe Preview. It has also been revealed that Samsung’s Calendar app pages have been redesigned in One UI 8. The list of eligible Samsung devices that will be getting the One UI 8 upgrade has also been revealed online.
