Since last month, we have been seeing the upcoming REDMI 17C 5G smartphone making its appearance on multiple global regulatory platforms, and now, the same device has also been spotted on the UAE’s TDRA certification database. Furthermore, a retailer listing of the upcoming smartphone is currently live as well, revealing several of its key specifications and features.

REDMI 17C 5G – TDRA Certification
On the TDRA database, the upcoming REDMI 17C 5G has been listed with the model number 2607FRNEAG, and it is categorized under the ‘Mobile Phone’ product type. The device carries the equipment registration number ER63766/26, and the certification was issued on 19th August 2026.
Prior to this, the same smartphone had already made its appearance on the Indian BIS, Thailand’s NBTC, Singapore’s IMDA, and Geekbench databases. On the BIS platform, the Indian variant was listed with the model number 2607FRNEAI, while the global model number 2607FRNEAG was spotted on NBTC and IMDA.
Speaking more, the previous Geekbench listing had revealed that the REDMI 17C 5G will likely be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, along with Android 16 operating system and 4GB of RAM.
Notably, tipster Kacper Skrzypek, who had shared the Geekbench details, also pointed out that the internal codename of the REDMI 17C 5G is ‘tornado’, which is the same codename used for the REDMI 15C 5G as well as POCO C85 5G. This had suggested that the upcoming smartphone could arrive as a rebranded version of these devices.
Interestingly, a retailer listing of the REDMI 17C 5G carrying the same 2607FRNEAG model number is also currently live at the time of writing, and several of the specifications mentioned on it further point towards its similarities with the REDMI 15C 5G.
REDMI 17C 5G – Specifications Revealed via Retailer Listing
According to the listing, the upcoming REDMI 17C 5G features a 6.9″ IPS LCD display with a 1600 × 720 pixel resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 810 nits HBM brightness. The panel further offers an 83% NTSC colour gamut and has received TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light, Circadian Friendly, and Flicker-Free certifications.
Under the hood, the smartphone is listed with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, while microSD card expansion of up to 1TB is also supported. The device runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3, whereas its earlier Geekbench appearance had already revealed Android 16 and the Dimensity 6300 chipset.
Coming to its battery, the REDMI 17C 5G is listed with a 6,000mAh battery and fast charging support, along with a USB Type-C charging port.
For photography, the device carries a 50MP primary rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture, accompanied by a unknown secondry sensor. On the front, users will be getting an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture, while video recording of up to 1080p is supported.
Regarding connectivity, the smartphone supports 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, dual-SIM connectivity, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Furthermore, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and AI Face Unlock are offered for security, whereas its sensor list includes an accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass, and light sensor.
Speaking of its design, the listing reveals a Brown colour option, while the device measures around 171.56mm in height, 79.47mm in width, and about 8.05mm in thickness, with a weight of 211gm. An IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance has also been revealed.
With the REDMI 17C 5G continuing to make its appearance on certification platforms and its retailer listings now surfacing as well, its global launch could possibly be nearing.
