Previously, the Geekbench listing had already revealed a few key details concerning the upcoming Redmi 17C 5G smartphone, and now, the device has been spotted on two more regulatory databases, including India’s BIS and Thailand’s NBTC.

Redmi 17C 5G – Spotted on NBTC and BIS Certification Databases
On Thailand’s NBTC certification database, the Redmi 17C 5G with the model number of ‘2607FRNEAG’ has been listed, and its moniker is clearly mentioned alongside it. The smartphone has received the certification with the certificate number of ‘B3844-26’, and it is also pointed out to support GSM/WCDMA/LTE/NR network connectivity. Moreover, the listing confirms its upcoming launch in Thailand.
Next, on the Indian BIS certification database, a slightly different model number of ‘2607FRNEAI’ has been spotted, where the last letter has been changed from ‘G’ to ‘I’, where ‘G’ represents the global variant and ‘I’ represents the Indian variant. While its moniker has not been listed on the BIS database, considering that the global model has already been confirmed, this is understood to be the Indian variant of the Redmi 17C 5G. Its BIS listing also confirms that the device will be launching in India. Notably, this same model number, which ends with the letter ‘G ‘, had also appeared on Singapore’s IMDA database as well, thus confirming its launch in the Singapore market as well.
Redmi 17C 5G – NBTC
Looking into previous updates, the Redmi 17C 5G was spotted on the Geekbench database, revealing that it will likely be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. The device was also listed with the Android 16 operating system and 4GB of RAM.
Tipster Kacper Skrzypek had further spotted the ‘tornado’ codename in its Geekbench listing, which matches the previously launched Redmi 15C 5G, also known as the POCO C85 5G, hinting that the upcoming Redmi 17C 5G may arrive as a rebranded device.
