A mysterious Redmi-branded smartphone has appeared on Singapore’s regulatory authority website, revealing some of its connectivity details.

Mysterious Redmi Smartphone – IMDA Certification Reveals Connectivity Details

On Singapore’s IMDA certification database, the model number “2607FRNEAG” has been listed with the Redmi branding, and its equipment type is mentioned as “Mobile Terminals”, confirming it to be a smartphone. Next, under the supplier details, it shows “XIAOMI ELECTRONICS PTE. LTD.”

Coming to the connectivity details, well the certification confirms that the device will come with “5G Mobile Phone with Bluetooth, WiFi, and NFC”. This means that the upcoming Redmi-branded smartphone will support 5G connectivity along with other standard wireless connectivity options.

However, its moniker is still under wraps, as currently the database does not reveal it, nor has any tipster come forward to share some details about it. Since the model number has now started appearing on certification platforms, more updates concerning its moniker and key specs can be expected in the coming days.

In other news, Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi Note 17 series in its home market China this very same month of July, which the brand has already confirmed via its official Weibo handle.
