An upcoming iQOO smartphone carrying the model number ‘I2606’ was previously spotted on the EEC database, though its moniker was not known at the time. Its appearance on the IMEI database later revealed that it belongs to the iQOO 16R smartphone. Now, the same device has also appeared on Indonesia’s TKDN database, while a tipster has shared a few of its possible key specifications.

iQOO 16R – TKDN Certification and Key Specifications Tipped
As per the listing, the iQOO smartphone with the model number ‘I2606’ has appeared on the TKDN database and has been listed as a mobile phone under the telecommunication equipment category, and GSM, WCDMA, 4G LTE, and 5G NR connectivity support has been mentioned.
Speaking more, the listing points to GSM 900/1800MHz and WCDMA 900/2100MHz support, along with FDD-LTE bands B1/B3/B5/B8/B28 and TDD-LTE bands B40/B41. While this appearance hints at its launch in the Indonesian market, other specifications have not been revealed through the listing.
Additionally, tipster Anvin has shared that the upcoming global iQOO 16R could be based on China’s iQOO Z12 Turbo smartphone and may feature a 6.59″ high-refresh-rate display, Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 chip, a battery of around 10,000mAh, and a built-in cooling fan.
To note, these specifications have been tipped and are yet to be officially confirmed by the brand. Its possible connection to the iQOO Z12 Turbo remains unconfirmed as well.
About its India launch, no details concerning the iQOO 16R have been announced yet. However, considering that its predecessor, the iQOO 15R, was introduced in the country, the upcoming device can also be expected to arrive in India. The iQOO 16’s India launch has already been confirmed, and the iQOO 16R may follow later, though its launch timeline remains unclear.
