iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max – Alleged Case Listings Surface Online

According to tipster Sanju Choudhary, alleged leather case listings of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max have surfaced online, and notably, the renders used in these listings show both smartphones with a smaller pill-shaped Dynamic Island.

Additionally, the renders also suggest that the upcoming Pro models could feature slimmer bezels, while the familiar triple rear camera setup can be seen at the back. Furthermore, what appear to be new wallpapers are also shown on the devices.

The alleged listings also give us a look at two possible colour options, with the iPhone 18 Pro shown in what appears to be a Dark Grey colour, whereas the iPhone 18 Pro Max is seen in a Dark Cherry/Red colour option.

Notably, this is not the first time we are hearing about a smaller Dynamic Island on the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series, as previous reports have also suggested that Apple could reduce its size with this year’s Pro models. Dark Cherry and Dark Grey colour options have also previously been rumored for the upcoming devices.

As for the cases themselves, the listings mention leather cases for the Apple iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, priced at EUR 90, while MagSafe support is also indicated. The renders show both devices fitted inside black leather-style cases.

Furthermore, while these case listings seemingly point towards a smaller Dynamic Island, slimmer bezels, new wallpapers, and two possible colour options, it is worth noting that none of these design details have been officially confirmed by Apple yet.

Speaking more about the iPhone 18 Pro Max, a previously leaked diagnostic log had revealed that the device could feature a Sony IMX905 main camera sensor with variable aperture support. The calibration block found in the log reportedly reads actuator data related to the aperture mechanism from the sensor’s non-volatile memory, further pointing towards the presence of a variable aperture. If the information turns out to be true, this will be the first time an iPhone arrives with a variable-aperture main camera.

Apart from the main rear camera, the device is said to feature a Sony IMX973 telephoto sensor, Sony IMX972 ultra-wide sensor, Sony IMX591 LiDAR receiver, and Sony IMX914 selfie camera. The leaked log suggests that only the main camera sensor is being changed this year, while the remaining sensors are similar to those used on the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

However, with the increased battery capacity, a weight and thickness trade-off has also been tipped by well-known tipster Ice Universe. According to him, the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max could weigh around 240gm and measure around 9mm in thickness, with the larger battery said to be one of the reasons behind this increase.

For comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro Max measures 8.75mm in thickness and weighs around 231-233gm depending on the regional model listing, meaning the upcoming model could be slightly heavier as well as thicker than its predecessor.

Speaking of its battery, previous 3C certification-related details had revealed a 5,391mAh battery for the Chinese iPhone 18 Pro Max variant, compared to the 4,823mAh capacity of its predecessor, resulting in an increase of around 11.78%. The US eSIM-only model, on the other hand, is said to pack a 5,567mAh battery, up from 5,088mAh on the iPhone 17 Pro Max, resulting in around a 9.41% increase.

As mentioned, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are still yet to be officially announced, and current reports suggest that their launch will be taking place in September 2026. Interestingly, Apple is also reported to be changing its usual iPhone launch strategy this year, with the vanilla iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2027 instead.

With the launch of the Pro models now getting closer, more details regarding their design, specifications, colour options, and other features will likely be revealed in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned for more updates!
