In June, Tata Electronics faced a data breach, about which the company officially informed the company, and the investigation into this matter was also carried out. It was said that this breach exposed 630.4GB of confidential Apple-related internal files on the dark web. Though a few days back, it was reported that the Indian government has found no critical information loss in the data breach.
Today, folks at Notebookcheck have revealed that a diagnostic log has confirmed the iPhone 18 Pro Max camera specs. This diagnostic log is said to be a part of the trove of internal Tata Electronics files leaked in June by the World Leaks ransomware group.
iPhone 18 Pro Max: Camera specs leaked
The log confirms that the device features a 48MP Sony IMX905 main camera with variable aperture, backed by a calibration block that reads actuator data tied to the aperture mechanism from the sensor’s non-volatile memory. If the information is true, then this will be the first time for an iPhone to arrive with variable aperture.
Apart from the main rear camera, the device is said to sport a Sony IM973 telephoto lens, Sony IMX972 ultrawide lens, Sony IMX591 LiDAR receiver and Sony IM914 selfie camera.
This latest information reveals that the only sensor being changed this year is the main camera; the other sensors are similar to the iPhone 17 Pro Max unveiled last year by Apple.
Looking at the previous track record, Apple is expected to introduce its latest iPhone 18 series this year in September. Though it is advisable to wait for confirmation.
