Well, even I struggled at first when signing up for a Google Workspace account. For some reason, it automatically selected the Business Plus plan for me, while I actually needed the Business Starter plan. Normally, all plans are visible during the sign-up process, but at that time, only Business Plus was being shown.
So, the only option was to proceed with it. However, I later discovered a way to change my subscription to a different plan. In this article, I will walk you through all the steps I took to switch my Google Workspace subscription.
First, sign in with your admin email at admin.google.com. Once you’re logged in, you’ll see the page shown below.
If you refer to the screenshot above, you’ll notice a Buy or upgrade option. Click on it, and you will now see all the available subscription plans, including Business Starter. Simply choose to upgrade or downgrade, depending on your preference.
Once confirmed, your subscription will be updated. If you’ve paid for the full year in advance, the changes will take effect from your next renewal date. However, if you’re still within the trial period, you can switch plans immediately without any issues.
