Xbox Live Game Key – Activation

• To activate an Xbox Live Game Key, users will have to login to their Xbox account and click on the Avatar icon at the top right corner.
• There, select ‘Redeem Code’. Again, click on the ‘Redeem’ option in the middle of the displayed page and enter the code.
• Proceed by clicking again on ‘Redeem’ and confirm the redemption by pressing on ‘Confirm’.
• After successful redemption, users can click on ‘Close’.

Xbox Live Account – Game Installation Process

• To install a game onto your Xbox Live account, press on the ‘X’ button that can be found on the game controller and navigate towards the right on ‘Profile & System’ tab.
• Go to ‘Add or Switch’ and select it. Then, click on the ‘Add New’ option present at the bottom left corner.
• In the next step, type the email (received from Xbox) and password. [Do not mistype ‘I’ – uppercase ‘i’ and ‘l’ – lowercase ‘L’.]
• If a security code is required, type it in and proceed by clicking on ‘Confirm’.

• After these steps, on the Account Home Screen, navigate to ‘My Games & Apps’. On ‘Full Library’, click on ‘All Owned Games’. Find the purchased game, and click on ‘Install All’.
• Following this, again press on the ‘X’ button (on the game controller) and open ‘Settings’. Navigate to General > Personalization > My Home Xbox. Ensure that you see the option ‘Make This My Home Xbox’ ticked.
• To complete the game installation, press the ‘X’ button (on the game controller), and navigate to the ‘Profile & System’ tab and click ‘Add or Switch’. By clicking on the account, the process can be completed, and you will be all good to go.

Note: If users are not able to play the game on their main account, ensure and verify again whether the purchase account is activated as Home Xbox or not.

• Changing the password won’t be possible
• The account can’t be activated as Home Xbox on two consoles.
