Samsung Criticized for Removing Bluetooth Support From Galaxy S25 Ultra S-Pen: To Increase Profit Margin Teases Reddit User

The South Korean smartphone and other consumer electronics maker, Samsung, very recently unveiled its much-awaited Galaxy S25 series devices, and this time a fourth Galaxy S25 Edge model also joined the series apart from the already-launched Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra models.

While people have been excited about these latest flagships, the new Galaxy S25 Ultra is now being talked about and how Samsung has removed the Bluetooth functionality support from its S-Pen, denying users a lot of fan-favorite features that they have been enjoying with the device. Read more about it below.

Galaxy S25 Ultra – Criticized For Removing Bluetooth Support From S-Pen

One of the main features that distinguishes Samsung’s Galaxy Ultra models from other flagships as well as from the other Galaxy S-series models is its S-Pen with functions like air actions, remote control, gestures, photo capture, navigation, and more thanks to the Galaxy S-Pen with Bluetooth support. Unfortunately, this time’s Galaxy S25 Ultra users are severed of all these features as the brand has decided to remove Bluetooth support from the flagship.

The brand claims that this decision was made as a result of finding out that most users are not using the wireless features enough. Additionally this would also suggest that in the future the brand may plan on removing S-Pen from the Galaxy Ultra models completely if this is the approach that the brand would be following. What is even more surprising is the fact that Samsung has actually listed a Bluetooth-enabled S Pen for Galaxy S25 Ultra separately as per reports, and customers of a USD 1,299.99/INR 1,29,999 and above priced phone has to pay extra for it.

Comparing with Apple, a Reddit user has criticized Samsung for removing the Bluetooth-enabled S-Pen from the Ultra model and selling it separately in attempts to increase profit margin. Probably, Samsung may face a dip in its Galaxy S25 Ultra device as consumers who bought the ‘phablet’ phone for these features would likely switch to other Galaxy S25 series models, or may be to flagships offered by other brands.
