Galaxy S25 Ultra user reportedly faces dead motherboard issue in just 1.5 years; Company alleged to charge Rs 45K for replacement

Recently, various Galaxy S26 Ultra users complained about a reddish tint appearing around the centre of their device’s display. Addressing these concerns, Samsung later confirmed that the issue was caused by a colour calibration software optimisation issue and can be fixed via a software update.

Well, seems like the Galaxy S series devices are facing issues frequently. Yesterday, tipster @Gadgetsdata shared screenshots of a chat where a Galaxy S25 Ultra user mentioned facing a dead motherboard issue in just 1.5 years.

The user reported that the motherboard of his device got damaged somehow, and now he is facing random shutdowns. When he reached the service centre to get the issue resolved, the company was charging Rs 45K for a replacement.

According to the tipster, this motherboard issue is becoming more common day by day. A few other Galaxy S series users also reported facing the same issue in the comment section of the above X post.

A dead motherboard issue can cause the device to not turn on, charge or respond. This can happen due to overheating, major software update bugs, water damage, or drops. However, the user above claimed that his device was in top-notch condition and suddenly started facing this issue.
