A few weeks back, reports concerning a reddish tint appearing around the centre of the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s display started surfacing online. While some users suspected it to be OLED burn-in or a hardware defect, others linked the issue to the smartphone’s Privacy Display feature. However, Samsung later confirmed through a Korean news outlet that it was caused by a colour-calibration software optimisation issue and could be resolved through a software update.
Now, the same information has also been officially communicated to users through a notice published on the Samsung Members application in South Korea.
