Babita Phogat trending on Twitter; Here’s why

Twitter is going haywire on Babita Phogat, a pro wrestler from India for hate tweets. Two hashtags are trending for her on twitter, #SuspendBabitaPhogat with more than 75k tweets and #ISupportBabitaPhogat with more than 175k tweets.

Yesterday, a tussle between Rangoli Chandel and Farah Khan Ali resulted in Rangoli’s twitter account suspension under the hate spread/community violation policy of twitter. According to reports, Farah said about Rangoli that ‘She spreads venom all the time’ and Rangoli’s replies don’t go into her favor.

Farah Khan Ali later thanked twitter for suspending Rangoli’s Twitter Account.
