Turn on these settings on your Android/iOS to get any alert, guidance, or update from the government about the current situation on your smartphone
For iPhone
- Go to Settings
- Tap on Notifications
- Scroll down to Government Alerts
- Turn on Emergency Alerts & Public Safety Alerts (in some cases, it may show Test Alerts)
For Android (may vary slightly by brand)
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down to Safety & Emergency
- Tap on Wireless Emergency Alerts
- Turn on Allow Alerts/Extreme threats/Severe threats
Activate these settings on your WhatsApp
- Go to Settings
- Tap on Privacy
- Click on Advanced
- Turn on Block unknown account messages, Protect IP address in calls, and Disable link previews
