Samsung officially introduced the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Watch 9, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 with One UI 9 and One UI Watch 9 during its Galaxy Unpacked event yesterday. While the One UI 9 beta program is currently limited to the Galaxy S26 series, test builds of One UI Watch 9 for the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 5 have now been spotted on Samsung’s test servers.

One UI Watch 9 Test Builds Spotted for Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 5
According to the details shared by tipster Tarun Vats, Samsung has started testing One UI Watch 9 for the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 5, as he spotted two new builds on Samsung’s test servers, carrying the firmware versions ‘L300XXU2CZG4/L300OXM2CZG4/’, ‘R930XXU2DZG4/R930OXM2DZG4’ and ‘R900XXU2EZG4/R900OXM2EZG4’ for the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 5, respectively.
One UI Watch 9 – Galaxy Watch 7
The appearance of these test builds suggests that Samsung has started testing the latest One UI Watch version for both smartwatches internally, hinting that the beta update may not be too far away.
However, the One UI Watch 9 beta for the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 5 could arrive sometime around September or October. This is because several flagship Galaxy smartphones are still waiting to receive their One UI 9 beta updates, and previous rumours have suggested that their beta rollout could take place around the same period.
For now, this is just an expected timeline, and Samsung may release the beta update early as well. Whatever the case may be, more details are likely to emerge as the internal testing progresses.
