The South Korean tech giant Samsung yesterday introduced its latest foldable and flip devices at the Galaxy Unpacked event. At the same event, the company introduced new wearable devices as well.
Here are the details.
Galaxy Watch Ultra 2
This smartwatch is built for extreme outdoor adventures and high-performance seekers. It comes with dedicated tracking modes for outdoor sports. The Trial Run feature tracks detailed elevation, climbing progress and terrain impact. It also provides real-time hydration guidance through Nutrition Alert (new addition to the Sweat Loss feature). It supports professional diving with an IP69K rating, 10ATM and EN13319 certification.
Users can access advanced diving features, including ascent/descent speed tracking and safe dive limits, by using the exclusive Ultra 2 Diving app (expected to be available later this year). It is equipped with an 800 mAh battery, powered by the Snapdragon Wear Elite platform, while the expanded display provides the world’s first smartwatch with 5,000 nits of brightness.
It retains its shock-resistant titanium coating and comes with a slimmer design.
Galaxy Watch 9
Designed for wellness-conscious users. This smartwatch turns personal biomarkers into actionable health insights. It features a lightweight yet durable aluminium casing that preserves Galaxy Watch’s signature cushion silhouette. It is powered by the Snapdragon Wear Elite platform and backed by a 390 mAh battery. A 3,000-nit display supports effortless readability and crystal-clear visibility under any lighting condition.
Both Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Watch 9 boast Samsung’s AI-powered health features. Galaxy Watch’s BioActive sensor captures continuous biometric data about a user’s lifestyle habits to develop a deep understanding of their health. Galaxy Watch then translates this complex biometric data into simple, proactive recommendations, helping users understand not just what is happening in their bodies, but what to do next.
The health features include: Sleep Apnea feature, Vitals, Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load, Fitness Index and Hearing.
Both watches come with purpose-built band collections. Users can choose from the Marine Band, PeakForm Band, and Trail Band for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. And, Watch 9 comes with an expansive new band collection: Sports Band, Misty Band and Fabric Band.
The smartwatches come with exclusive subscription trial benefits, including a 60-day free trial of Strava and a 2-month free trial of iFIT.

Samsung Intelligent Eyewear
Building on the concepts announced at the latest Google I/O, the new designs were developed with global eyewear brands, Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. The eyewear pairs a lightweight frame and slim profile with the durability and comfort needed for daily wear.
Intelligent eyewear brings AI directly into the user’s line of sight. The eyewear offers up to 9 hours on a single charge with up to 7 additional full charges from the charging case. A built-in camera brings visual context into the AI experience, while the Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 platform supports the AI performance designed for real-time assistance, with touch interaction, connectivity, power efficiency and thermal management optimised within the eyewear’s compact frame.
Built in partnership with Google, it brings Gemini into a familiar wearable form factor. The key experiences include:
- Stay in the moment: The device can help summarise long messages, read key information aloud, support live translation and allow users to control the experience with simple voice or gesture interactions through connected devices.
- Capturing context: When prompted, the eyewear can capture what the user is seeing, such as a whiteboard or meeting discussion, organise key information in Notes and make it easier to review, share and follow up on later.
- Real-time interaction: Users can ask for guidance based on their location, such as finding a route, setting a destination or understanding what is around them, while live translation can support communication in another language.
- Context-aware assistance: The device can support more useful follow-up interactions by understanding the user’s current context and connecting relevant information across tasks, helping users continue where they left off with less repetition.
- Live visual sharing: Users can share what they are seeing during a call or record their own point of view, making communication more immediate while keeping their hands free.
The Gentle Monster edition features a slim frame in black, pairing a straight upper rim with softly rounded lower edges to create a refined and fashion-forward silhouette. The Warby Parker style features a subtly upswept brow line in a rich brown hue, creating a refined, versatile shape perfect for everyday settings.
The pricing and availability details are not revealed yet.
