Sony Xperia 1 VI Tipped To Come With 19.5:9 Screen and 2K Resolution

Sony is reportedly working on the Xperia 1 VI smartphone but this is not the sole update about it. The smartphone is said to have changed while retaining the same design language as its predecessor. As per a Weibo post by a user, the Xperia 1 VI smartphone won’t have a 4K screen anymore. It can come with a 2K display in place of that and the second place where the change can be seen is in aspect ratio. The smartphone can drop the cinematic 21:9 aspect ratio in favour of 19.5:9. These changes can make a few users sad but there are chances that the company is looking ahead to target the mass with this.

The Weibo user has specifically mentioned in the post that the overall design of the smartphone is going to be the same as its predecessor. This smartphone is said to come in May month of this year. The rest of the features of the handset remain under the wrap. Recently a smartphone with model number XQ-ES54 appeared on the EMVCO database and it is believed to be an Xperia 1 VI smartphone. We need to wait for the official announcement and also regarding the change that is tipped.
