It is going to be a busy month I would say, and a lot of confusion started when Motorola announced Edge 50 Pro for the Indian market. Everyone was expecting that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor would power the Edge 50 Pro and it will be the repackaged version of the X50 Ultra that is supposed to launch soon in China. But Motorola came with the news that the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor will power the Edge 50 Pro. Then news broke out that there is also Edge 50 Fusion that will also join the series.
But now there is a new leak which states that Motorola will launch the Ultra version of this series which will be known as Edge + 2024 for the US. So a total of three smartphones will be there in the Edge 50 series: Edge 50 Pro, Edge 50 Fusion, and Edge 50 Ultra Aka X50 Ultra Aka Edge + 2024.
Motorola Edge 50 Ultra Promo Material leaked
Now this new leak comes from Android Headlines, which claims that Motorola will launch the Edge 50 Ultra with the newly launched chipset Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. This same chipset will power the X50 Ultra that is also going to be launched in China. Looking at the Press renders, I AM IN LOVE. I mean Motorola, has designed this smartphone probably with a lot of passion. Looking at the renders, I can see a three-camera setup, on a square module with a slight bump. All cameras are equipped with 50MP, with a 12mm ultra-wide and 72mm periscope lens. Motorola is introducing laser autofocus with this smartphone and is also equipped with a rear LED flash. You will get a curved display with a punch-hole camera layout, which is common nowadays.
The renders are showcased in three colour, Peach Fuzz, Black, and light beige. Black and Peach fuzz has a leather back design while the light beige has a smooth back design. I like the light beige option, only because it looks more neat. There is no space around the camera bump and it looks more uniform.
It will be equipped with the latest Hello UI and will come with 3 Android Upgrades as per the report.
Availability
The report mentions that Edge 50 Ultra will launch alongside Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion. So this would mean, there will be three phones launching on April 3rd. Currently, Motorola has only teased Edge 50 Pro in the Indian market. And there is no official information about when will the other two be coming in. So please take this information about the launch date with a pinch of salt.
