Google Pixel 8 Series Devices Certified by the FCC Certification Authority Ahead of its Confirmed Launch

Two of the Pixel 8 series devices, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones, have received the FCC certification. Both the devices are now confirmed to have their launch in the month of October this year at an upcoming Google event.

Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro FCC Certification

Five models of the Pixel 8 series have been spotted on the FCC certification platform with model numbers – GKWS6, G9BQD, GPJ41, GZPF0, and G1MNW.

GKWS6, G9BQD, GPJ41, and GZPF0 are the model numbers of Pixel 8 smartphones and the FCC listing doesn’t reveal the models to support UWB. However, the GZPF0 model is revealed to have mmWave 5G network support.

G1MNW is the model number of the Pixel 8 Pro smartphone and the device is revealed to support UWB, Wi-Fi 6E, mmWave 5G networks, and Sub6.

Here are the expected specifications of the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro smartphones.

Google Pixel 8

The Pixel 8 smartphone is expected to be powered by the Tensor G3 chipset and is likely to feature a 6.17″ FHD+ OLED display panel. The device is probably also going to sport a 50MP(main)+12MP(ultrawide) dual camera setup along with a 11MP selfie cam. It might also be backed by a 4,485 mAh battery and is expected to support a 24W wired and 12W wireless fast charge features.

Google Pixel 8 Pro

The Pro variant is also expected to come equipped with the Tensor G3 chipset and is probably going to feature a larger 6.7″ LTPO OLED QHD+ display. At its rear, the smartphone might have a 50MP(main)+64MP(ultrawide)+48MP(telephoto) triple camera setup and for selfies, the same 11MP front facing camera. A larger battery backup of 4,950 mAh is also expected with a fast charge support of 27W. As the vanilla Pixel 8 supports wireless fast charging, the Pixel 8 Pro is also likely to have a wireless charging feature, maybe faster than the vanilla model.
