Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro Devices Launching on the 4th of October 2023: Officially Revealed

Just like what was previously expected, Google will be launching two of its upcoming Pixel 8 series devices in the month of October this year. Confirmed officially.

This update comes originally from Marques Brownlee, also known as MKBHD, who has shared an invitation to an upcoming Google event that is scheduled to take place on the 4th of October 2023, 2023. It has been mentioned that the event will introduce the latest additions to the brand’s Pixel portfolio of devices, confirming the launch date of the upcoming Pixel 8 and 8 Pro smartphones.

We have already covered a lot about the two upcoming Pixel 8 series devices in the past few months, and this also includes a report about the third smartphone of the series that is likely only to make its debut next year.

About the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro devices, both the upcoming smartphones are expected to be powered by the brand’s own Tensor G3 chipset. Regarding the Pixel 8 smartphone, it might feature a 6.17″ OLED display with an FHD+ resolution, whereas the Pixel 8 Pro is likely to have a 6.7″ LTPO OLED display with a QHD+ resolution.

The Pixel 8 smartphone is revealed to have a 50MP(main)+ 12MP(ultrawide) dual rear camera setup and its Pro model is going to feature a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP OIS main camera, 64MP ultrawide camera and a 48MP telephoto camera. Both the devices are also anticipated to have an 11MP front-facing camera as well.

The devices are also said to have improved battery backups and faster charging speeds. The Pixel 8 smartphone is probably going to pack a 4,485 mAh battery with a fast charge support of 24W. The Pixel 8 Pro device might be backed by an even larger 4,950 mAh battery supporting a 27W fast charge feature. Pixel 8 smartphone’s WPC certification also revealed a 12W wireless fast charging support, and the same or maybe a better wireless fast charge feature can also be expected on the Pro model.

The upcoming Pixel 8 and 8 Pro devices are also going to be the first smartphones to feature Google’s revamped camera app, with multiple storage options and color variants. With its launch, we’ll be able to confirm and know more about the smartphones and their specs.
