Google I/O 2024 officially announced to take place on 14th May, 2024

Google I/O is an annual event held by Google where developers and tech enthusiasts gather to explore the latest gadgets, software updates, and innovations in Google’s ecosystem. Last year Google hosted this event at which the Google Pixel 8 series was unveiled while the latest Android 14 OS was also launched at that event.

Today Google has officially announced that it will be hosting the Google I/O 2024 event on 14th May 2024.

It is expected that at this event the company might introduce Android 15 OS and Wear OS 5 software updates. Apart from this, a highly anticipated Pixel 8a smartphone might also be unveiled at this upcoming event.

In the month of February, Google released the first developer preview of its next Android 15 Operating System. If we talk about the Pixel 8a smartphone, the live image and 5K renders along with 360-degree video of the device leaked online which revealed that the device may arrive in Black and Pink color options. The device is expected to feature a 6.1-inch wide display, might be powered by a Tensor G3 chipset, and equipped with a Mali G715 GPU. The retail box images of the smartphone have also been revealed online.

For now, Google is yet to officially reveal details about what will be announced at the Google I/0 2024 event that will be held on 14th May.
