Google has confirmed to unveil two of its Pixel 8 series devices early next month, on the 4th of October 2023, and there is also a third device in the series that will be launched in a later period, just like always.

Yes, this is about the Pixel 8a smartphone, the successor of the previous Pixel 7a device which debuted in May this year. Previously, we had covered a report regarding the upcoming Pixel 8a and now, the render images of the smartphone have been revealed.

Google Pixel 8a – Render Images

The render images that have been revealed feature the upcoming device in presumably the Sea color and from what it seems, the Pixel 8a is likely to be smaller than the soon-to-be-launched Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro devices, same as the case it was for the previous Pixel 7 series smartphones.

About the design language, at the rear, we don’t have a full view of how the back panel looks, but we do get a clear idea about its camera module. Similar to the other recent Pixel devices, the rectangular-shaped camera module, with a different color tone, extends from the left side panel to the right. There is a pill-shaped cutout housing two cameras along with an LED flashlight within the camera module.

Coming to the sides,  it is rounded and shares the same color with the camera module. The right side panel has the power button at the top and the volume rocker below it. The card tray is on the left side panel, at a lower portion.

Finally, the display appears to be small with a fair amount of bezels on all four of its sides. The display is rounded at the corners and has a centrally aligned punch-hole camera on it.

It was in the month of August, last month, that we came across the first update regarding the Pixel 8a smartphone. The device with the codename “Akita” was spotted on the Geekbench database and had a nine-core processor, expected to be Google’s Tensor G3 (underclocked) chipset. The listing also pointed out that the device would have the latest Android 14 operating system out of the box.

More updates concerning the Pixel 8a smartphone might be on its way, with which, we’ll be able to get a better idea about its specs and other features.
