Instagram Notes are short updates that you can share with your Close Friends or followers you follow back. They appear at the top of your direct messages (DM) for 24 hours. Recently, Spotify’s live music support was released for Notes.
Previous reports suggested that Instagram is experimenting with color and emoji options for Notes, and today Instagram has officially announced that you can now customize your Notes.

Just type what you want to say, then choose from a palette of colors for your Notes background or text and you can add emojis to make your message more expressive. This type of customization will be making your Notes more eye-catching and fun to use.
To change the color of the note bubble on Instagram, just long-press the text field where you write the note whereas if you want to add an emoji, tap the smiley icon next to the text field. The customization feature has already been rolled out globally and every Instagram user will be able to access it now. If not available, update the Instagram app to its latest version to find the feature.
