Meta’s social media platform – Instagram has now introduced a new Spotify live music sharing support to Notes. It has been made available globally to users and can be accessed by updating the application to its latest version.

Spotify Live Music Sharing Feature Now on Instagram Notes
A week before World Music Day (celebrated on 21st June 2025), Instagram has made a new Spotify live music sharing feature available to its users on Notes. Following the ‘Add to Spotify’ option, Instagram has further extended its collaboration with Spotify with this newly introduced feature, and with the help of which, Instagram users will easily be able to share their live Spotify playback in real-time. Also, the song title will be automatically updated as the music changes, with a note that the user is currently listening to the particular song.
To use this Spotify live music sharing feature on Instagram Notes, initially users will have to connect Spotify with Instagram. Then when creating the Instagram Notes, tap on the music icon at the bottom, and click on ‘Share from Spotify’. After enabling or setting this up, Instagram Notes will be updating the song being played on Spotify. Additionally, an optional text can also be added by Instagram users while posting the Note.
About its availability, as mentioned above, the Spotify live music sharing feature has already been rolled out globally and every Instagram user will be able to access it now. If not available, update the Instagram app to its latest version to find the feature.
