Google Introduces Public Link on NotebookLM, Making Curation and Sharing Much Easier

Google – the California-based tech maker has now brought a needed feature on NotebookLM, enabling its users to curate and share their creations in a much more easier way than before with the help of public link.

Read more about it below.

Public Link Option Now Available on NotebookLM

NotebookLM users so far have only been able to share their creations by typing in the receiver’s email address along with the ‘Viewer’/’Editor’ access, while Enterprise and Education users have had ‘Group’ or ‘Internal’ options. A ‘Chat-only’ sharing option is also available to Pro subscribers as well. The sharing process has now been made even simpler with the introduction of public link on NotebookLM, however it has to be noted that the receiver won’t be getting editing capability but can ask questions and explore audio overviews, FAQs, and briefing documents.

To create a public link for a NotebookLM creation, users will just have to tap on the ‘Share’ button given on the top-right corner and find the ‘Copy link’ option at the bottom. Users also have the option to restrict access to only specified people or to provide access to anyone with the link, and it should be noted that only owners and editors will be having the sharing functionality on the platform. Additionally, the paid subscribers will be able to get usage analytics too. Also, the NotebookLM sharing window is similar to that of the Google Drive or Google Docs sharing windows.

Speaking of a few other related news, Google’s next Pixel 10 series smartphones and Pixel Watch 4 smartwatch are believed to launch two months later in August 2025, and a prototype of the Pixel 10 Pro model was shared online recently. Moreover, it has also been reported that Google’s Project Aura smart glasses powered by Android XR will be hitting the market, and Google has already partnered with many eye-wear brands for the development. Many advanced features can be expected out of the Project Aura smart glasses and it is revealed to be equipped with microphones, speakers, and a camera.

Stay tuned for more updates.
