Google doubles the 2.5 Pro limit from 50 to 100 queries per day for Gemini app Pro users

Back in March 2025, Google revealed Gemini 2.5 Pro and at that time it was limited to users with a paid plan. Later the company expanded the plan to free users with a smaller context window and rate limits in place. Well, the company has now increased the Gemini 2.5 Pro’s query limit for Google AI Pro users letting frequent users utilize more of the AI model’s upgraded reasoning, math and coding capabilities.

As per Gemini chief Josh Woodward, the Gemini 2.5 Pro’s query limit has been doubled from 50 to 100 queries per day for the Pro plan members of the Gemini App.

Gemini 2.5 Pro’s usage limits are currently described as “limited access” for users without a paid plan, “expanded access” for Google AI Pro users, and “highest access” for those with a Google AI Ultra plan. With this latest upgrade, using this 2.5 Pro plan should now be less frustrating for users, especially for those who actively pay for the plan.

Recently, at Google I/O, Veo 3 with Native Audio generation, Deep Think Mode features were introduced to Gemini 2.5 Pro. Features like Live Camera and Imagen 4 were also introduced to the Gemini App. Gemini in Chrome was also rolled out on desktop to Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra subscribers in the US who use English as their Chrome language on Windows and macOS.
