Google introduces Live Camera and Imagen 4 features to Gemini app; Gemini will now be made available in Chrome

At Google I/O, the company has introduced various new capabilities and features especially for Gemini to enhance user experience. Just previously we shared with you about the introduction of Veo 3 with Native Audio generation, Deep Think Mode brought to Gemini 2.5 Pro and some more updates.

In this article, we will share with you about two new features introduced in Gemini App-Live Camera, Imagen 4 and Gemini coming to Chrome.

Live Camera & Screen Sharing

Sometimes, typing a particular task on the Gemini app or getting help with a tricky task can be tedious. Well, Google has resolved this issue as Gemini Live with camera and screen sharing available to everyone on Android and iOS for free. You can just turn on your live camera and get real-time visual help from Gemini.

It is revealed that conversations with Gemini Live are five times longer than text-based conversations on average because it offers new ways to get help.

In the coming weeks, Gemini Live is said to integrate more deeply into your daily life. For example, if you are planning an event, you can discuss the details with Gemini Live, and it instantly creates an event in your Google calendar.

Imagen 4

The Gemini app makes it easy to go from an idea to breathtaking images. Whether you are creating a professional presentation or just creating invites for a particular event, you can do it with the help of Imagen 4, which is made available for all users on the Gemini app.

Imagen 4 is said to deliver visuals that pop with lifelike detail and better text and typography outputs.

Gemini in Chrome

Starting today, Gemini in Chrome has begun rolling out on desktop to Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra subscribers in the US who use English as their Chrome language on Windows and macOS.

The first version allows you to easily ask Gemini to clarify complex information on any webpage you are reading or summarize information. It is revealed that in the future, Gemini will be able to work across multiple tabs and navigate websites on your behalf.
