Samsung, Motorola, and OPPO are the only brands launching foldable display flip phones in India. Rumors are rife that Tecno will be the next flip phone market in the country. While it has already been approved by certification platforms, such as the FCC and Bluetooth SIG, it is yet to receive approval from India’s BIS authority. Nevertheless, a new leak has revealed the timeframe for when it will debut in India.

As can be seen in the above tweet, tipster Paras Guglani has revealed that the Phantom V Flip will launch in the fourth quarter of 2024. It will rival the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, the Motorola Razr 40 series, and the OPPO Find N2 Flip in the country. Here is a look at the key specifications of the device.

The featured image of this post showcases live shots of the alleged Phantom V Flip, which surfaced a couple of months ago. The exact screen size of the device is not known yet, but it is said to support a resolution of 1080 x 2640 pixels. In terms of camera capabilities, the device will sport a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, and a round camera module featuring a 64-megapixel dual-camera setup with a ring flash and a laser autofocus unit will be available on the back.

Under the hood, the Phantom V Flip will have the Dimensity 8050 chipset, 8 GB of RAM, 8 GB of virtual RAM, and 256 GB of storage. It will come with a 4,000mAh battery, that supports 66W fast charging. The V Flip is expected to run on HiOS 13-based Android 13.
