Fact Check : Did India lit up Qutub Minar with Colors of Russian Flag?

According to a post published by Global Times, stated that India lit up Qutub Minar with colors of the Russian Flag. The image shared by the Chinese state-owned media said in one of its social media posts. However, the image shared was for a different function altogether.

Some experts say that the Chinese state-owned media Global Times is running a campaign against India. The campaign is about to show that India is against the western powers by supporting Russia.

However, upon checking the image, we were able to find out that it was done in celebration of JanaushadhiDiwas2022.

Today i.e. on 7th March, Jan Aushadhi Diwas is being celebrated across India. The main objective of celebrating this day is to create awareness and confidence in the people of the country about generic medicines.

The main program “Jan Aushadhi Diwas” will be organized today i.e. on Monday 7th March 2022 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Bhagwant Khuba will be present on the occasion. Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) was launched by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers in November 2008 with the objective of providing quality generic medicines at affordable prices to all.
