After facing budget economic crisis because of the COVID-19 outbreak, China has already been facing a lot of difficulties, especially in the electronic and technology sector. Now an attempt by Tata may challenge China and its electronics sector to the core.
It is being said that the Tata group in India, will form an electronics manufacturing partnership with Apple Inc.
In Fact, it has also requested that Taiwanese suppliers arrange the iPhone in the South Asian country. According to people familiar with the situation, the talks with Wistron Corp are intended to strengthen Tata’s position in technology manufacturing. If this deal gets sorted, it could probably urge other global electronics companies to reduce their dependence on China for the products, bringing a profitable opportunity to India.
According to industry experts, Tata may purchase equity in Wistron’s Indian operations or even construct a new manufacturing unit. As of now the details regarding the shareholding are still being discussed, thus the final decision is yet to be disclosed.
