The vice president of Realme and president of Realme Global Marketing, Xu Qi Chase (also known as Chase Xu), has now confirmed that the brand won’t be launching a GT series smartphone in the global market this year. In a statement shared through his Weibo account, the Realme executive also revealed a few more details concerning the brand’s future plans and its key global markets.

Realme GT Series Won’t Be Launched Globally This Year
As per the details shared by Chase Xu, Realme does not have separate GT or Neo product lines for overseas markets, suggesting that the Realme GT 9 and Neo 9 won’t be launched globally this year. However, the brand’s number series will reportedly be adjusted and positioned to carry forward products belonging to the GT and Neo segments.
Speaking more, the Realme executive confirmed that India, Southeast Asia, Europe, and Latin America continue to be important markets for the brand. He also assured users that all the necessary arrangements concerning after-sales services have already been made.

Regarding the brand’s availability, Chase Xu revealed that Realme products will be offered across Latin America, but not in North America. The company will also continue operating across Europe, though it has not entered the Canadian market. He further noted that Realme is not pursuing its plans in Hong Kong.
Apart from this, Chase Xu also mentioned that OnePlus currently has no plans to collaborate with Ricoh. He additionally suggested that storage prices are likely to continue rising during the second half of this year.
Previously, it was already confirmed that Realme, at least for now, is making an exit from the Chinese market. However, the brand will continue launching its products globally, with media reports particularly suggesting a greater push in the Nordic region, which includes Finland, Denmark, Sweden, and Iceland.
